WHAT ARE EARLY SIGNS OF DENTAL DECAY OR DISEASE?
Periodontal disease and tooth decay often go unnoticed and may not be recognized right away. However, warning signs of gum disease & tooth decay include the following:
- Red, puffy or painful gums
- Bleeding while brushing, flossing, or eating hard food
- Receding gums or pulling away from the teeth, exposing more tooth than before
- Loose or separating teeth
- Pus between your gums and teeth
- Sores in your mouth
- Persistent bad breath
- A change in your bite or feeling of tightness
- Discoloration or chipping of teeth
Regular dental visits are crucial to dental health. Brushing and flossing are a great way to preserve your teeth and gums, but are not always enough.
